The idea and design for Grripz started while living in Brooklyn, NY
after walking and carrying groceries over several blocks, plus the
subway, week after week.
After using Grripz myself and finding them highly effective, I thought that if they're good for strong and healthy hands, than almost anyone would find them useful.
Every time someone sees Grripz for the first time, they become curious and ask "What is this?" And when they're shown how it works, they're pleasantly surprised, say it's cool or clever, and they want to buy one for themselves and someone they know. Instantly, people recognize the value of having less tension in their daily lives, especially from something as simple and frequent as shopping and carrying bags.
Whether for themselves or as gifts, I've encountered people who have purchased Grripz for a variety of reasons, some to help relieve joint pain or arthritis.The most interesting person I met while selling Grripz at Union Square in New York City was to a psycho-therapist who was finalizing his PhD on post traumatic stress disorder. He revealed this to me after I showed him how it worked. We discussed stress reduction and how "every little bit counts." He bought one to use for his leather briefcase that had flat handles.
